I saw someone say that transgender children deserve to benefit from and learn the same lessons that team sports provide. I thought that was an excellent way to frame it.

I fear that would get the “they’re a boy so let then play with the boys response” but I’d be interested to try it.

This is a dilemma without a winner.

Wait, does that girl not deserve to win her soccer game? Is that not the reason there are 2 leagues in the first place? I agree that transgendered kids need a safe space to play. I just don’t have an answer as to where that is.
-
In the gender that fits them, full stop. If you are brave enough to deal with all the shit society is going to give you, I’m fine with Bear losing to you. We are talking about 1% of the population and my kid will learn more losing to you than oppressing you.

If they want to talk about fairness, let’s tackle the wealth disparities that allow affluent kids to not excel in most sports but participate in them.
-
Oh, they’re not ready for that conversation! Blaming trans kids for hypothetical unfairness is easier than question real life disparities

The logical outcome is that in the future the American Women’s soccer team will consist of 11 transgender males.
-
Nah because trans men would be on the men’s team. Because they’re men. But nice try
