I’ve been considering it, but even then I feel like I could be using my time to learn deeper things like history or catch up on pop culture. Its a perfection cycle that never ends
I dont even know when the right point to start L3 would be.Theres always SOMETHING out there.

If you are already at that level, then due to diminishing returns, it's going to take full time dedication to make real gains in your L2. So if you now start an L3, you aren't "learning to languages at once"... You are now maintaining one language, and learning another (imo)

It worked out fine for me for KOrean because I had no desire to become fluent in Korean ASAP. I neglected Korean a lot as in I would watch korean talk/variety shows sporadically since I'd rather watch stuff in english/japanese but because I used anki I never went backwards.

that was good enough for me. all the sporadic work that I did on Korean over 6 yrs built up to something significant since I can now now watch show me the money, unpretty stars, produce 48, high school rapper,etc without looking up every other word.I sure had to 6 years ago
