I always lol at people who say well now you need to learn japanese/korean/chinese/etc next because its sooooo similar and you’ll master it in no time. Some people just dont have an interest in said country enough to devote years and years of study so please kindly stfu.

first of all that's like saying to all Americans, "omg you got to learn Spanish, it's so similar to English!". Second of all, learning a language is a means to an end, not an end in itself. "because it will be easy" isn't a reason to do anything

          1) How is it a means to an end? Especially in AJATT, the process and act of acquiring the language should be inherently fulfilling. Most people who give up AJATT probably thought of it as a means to an end, but gave up when they realized they were just forcing themselves through

          2) a process in hopes of reaching some imaginary pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. How is somebody supposed to devote years of their life to something, if that something isn't an end in itself? Considering we're talking about years of time,

          3) the initial 'end' you envisioned when you began likely isn't the same anyway. The process has to be an end in itself; the benefits you gain for knowing the language are bonus.

There’s no Spanish original anime. There’s no reason to learn Spanish over Japanese besides the easy factor.
