I see the extra $50 but when choosing the free storage upgrade, it gets nullified and isn't effective.

And not much changes since the s22 ultra. Samsung is also trying to get independent repair stopped by stopping any aftermarket parts from coming in through customs, which won't just affect phones, but every single item that can be repaired.
