Two things about this excite me. First, it's an example of trying to use social science research for practical impact. Second, besides accelerating science/innovation, 's values call for a reform strategy that safeguards humanity's future.

That focus on safety is niche but growing in the academic literature, and I'm excited to spend some time thinking about it seriously.

Making the switch from the to was a really hard decision, because working at IFP was a dream job and I believe in the IFP agenda (learn more at progress.institute). But I plan to remain involved with IFP and will stay a senior fellow with them.
