    I really wish the Github teams UX allowed for non-hierarchical team memberships. I want to create teams for project roles, teams for levels of access, and have the former teams be given membership to the latter teams (so humans get access by their role). Not always a Tree 😬

    Ugh, the UI doesn't have a way to link to a specific spot in a markdown file. The only options I see are the rendered via or raw, but I want to link to a TODO that's in a comment and not visible from the latter 😱

    While we‘re on the topic of smooth merge experiences: Become a reviewer yourself. Gives you sooo much more context on how to make the experience better for reviewers of your own PR‘s. Also literally review your own PR in the diff view before clicking submit!

    This is a lot of work, but the more manageable you make things for your reviewer, the smoother things will go. This also gives you a clear end-state to point to as context. 👇

    This. And the second rule for PRs: Small. Incremental. Changes. I usually hack the whole thing through and then look at the entire diff to decide how to stage things properly. It‘s a bit more work on my end to make the reviewer‘s life easier.

    Matt's first rule for PRs: Always separate contentious changes from non-contentious changes as separate PRs (when possible). This lets the latter land more quickly and avoid merge conflict hell while the bikeshed is painted.

    kn 0.12.0, the Knative CLI client, has been released. It has been updated to the latest serving and eventing dependencies (0.12.0) and introduces support for managing sink binding. The release notes () & CHANGELOG () have more details

    Pro-tip for GCP users: If you type a GCR image name into your browser, it opens it in the cloud console. Typing <project-id> is my goto for jumping to a particular project, so much faster than anything else I've seen.

    Kubernetes has ephemeral volumes that let you mount Kubernetes objects like secrets and ConfigMaps as files. With CSI inline volumes you can now build your own ephemeral volumes to surface whatever you want in to pods as files. Great example of this:
