    Please don't avoid talking to your profs because you feel like you're struggling. Trust me, being a professor is all about not knowing stuff. It's our job to not know stuff and then try to figure it out.

    Shitty airline travel is the absolute pinnacle of humanity to me. We found a way to soar through the high untrespassed sanctity of space and also found a way to make it suck the whole time. Absolutely iconic work by the species.

    My word. Wiley annual report: "Gross profit margin for fiscal year 2018 was 73.0%" Remember, it's not just Elsevier we should be angry at for profiteering by placing a tax on public knowledge.

    Ominous indeed, but not surprising. Journals investigating papers they published because some folks object to the conclusions, or how other folks might “use” them. Would be the death of scientific inquiry- back to medieval times.
