I would say the same would apply to the Democrats side.

This is one of the ways the "clown car" wing of the GOP sabotages more sane candidates and gets Democrats elected.

Today you'd be hard-pressed to find any sane candidates in the GOP. Since 2009 they've been trying to primary out even those who merely suggest that bipartisan dialogue may be productive

There are some, many actually, but the clown show and their "entertainment wing" talk radio cheer leaders seem to get most of the promotion. The good ones are most often quietly working to govern.

though her position that RW-media types have trouble entering the "mainstream" media, concedes, without explicitly stating it, that the "mainstream" media is liberally-slanted. Which is part of why conservative media was created in the first place

I'm not sure I agree. Triggering is akin to trolling. It's useless without the trollee. Republican in the primary say exactly what they believe and what their audience wants them to say. It's just that their audience is not large enough to win the general.
