Why don’t you and Ross commit yourselves to making sure every baby who has been born in America is safe and warm and fed and educated. When you are done with that, you can obsess about the personal decisions of women who you will never meet and don’t know who you are.

a) Few women are interested in opinions from men on control of women's bodies. b) "everyday liberalism" is NOT "muddled between semi-Christian ideas and a utilitarian materialism" - we simply believe that it's abhorrent to insist that men have a right to control women's bodies.
-
c) If you really want to debate something "open mindedly", let's agree that preventing the need for abortion is the best option and think about harvesting sperm from all males when they reach puberty, freezing it for later use and then subjecting all men to mandated vasectomies.

You make the most common & basic mistake by assuming that anyone that is pro choice is a liberal. You assume pro-choice = pro-abortion. Most pro-choice ppl agonize about abortions but concede to a woman’s dominion over her own body esp. within 1st trimester/embryonic stage.

I think everyone who writes in support of Kevin Williamson should swing by the neck until dead.
#NYtimes What? It was okay for him to say about women.... - 1 more reply

No Matt, terminating a pregnancy is not murder. That’s your religious belief. Also, do what you like with your body. You cannot tell me what to do with mine. So simple. So so basic.

It’s an all too slippery slope to forced pregnancy, desperate bloody teenage coat hanger abortions and the death penalty for harming an embryo. The root is not empathy for unborn babies, it is misogyny. That’s the problem. There are better ways to lower the abortion rate.

I'd like to encourage any conservative white male undergo one cycle of menstrual cramps let alone the anguish of contemplating abortion
-
Men don’t seem to get that pregnancy itself is a serious medical condition for the woman alone, not just the fetus. Women DIE from pregnancy/childbirth complications. Or can have their ongoing health/well-being compromised from then on. We MUST have control of our own bodies.

If you don't like abortions, support free birth control and actual sex education. It is something that women do whether it's legal or not, so it's better to help people not get pregnant to begin with.

We’re forced to hear about the plight of the white male, who feels threatened when women are successful or when a black man is President, but when one of them says women who have a med. procedure should be hung by the neck until dead&we get upset, it’s cuz we’re close-minded.
