Everyone does it Matt. I used to have a moderate Democrat as a representative, good guy too, but the R controlled legislature redrew his district adding a huge number of Rs to his district. He lost. So quit crying, everyone does it.

You’re making my point.

OK, no charge for that. There are mathematical solutions for drawing districts that are independent of politics. Proportional representation is simple and politics free.https://www.wired.com/2017/04/how-math-can-save-democracy/ …

This article conveniently ignores the systematic nationwide campaign to fudge district lines that the Republicans launched prior to the 2010 Census. Resetting level playing fields in every state, INCLUDING Maryland, makes Dems the net winners, and that scares the GOP to death.

Hey Genius...maybe Dems are learning they can't take a knife to a gunfight. Sometimes you have to fight fire with fire...otherrwise it's not a FAIR FIGHT!!!!!!!

Arlington County too. All BOV members are at large. if they were not, the Board would regularly elect 1-2 GOP members.

Hey look! We have an anti-gerrymandering crusader and he’s a Republican! Can’t wait to hear him criticize his fellow GOPers on the air with his righteousness.... wait for it. (Actually don’t bother... just another hypocrite.)

I've voted in the 6th my whole life. MD has no GOP representation in Congress once they redrew the 6th.

In the place I’ve lived most of my life, the opposite is the case. Neither party can say their hands are clean. I like voting on a candidate’s merits and positions rather than party. The system needs reform.

When Dems argue it needs to be stopped, presumably any sort of ruling would apply to them as well. As on now, they are just playing by the current set of rules.

I lived in Frederick during the transition from staunchly R to purple to D. Huge growth from DC suburbs changed demographics. Still great place to live and attend public schools.

Conservatives don't get to talk about this topic when their party has created systematic voter suppression around the entire country.
