Could be a liability in battleground House districts this fall, because it could further harden female voters against him. But on the larger point I agree.

That says a lot about the lack of moral fortitude of the voter, esp. the religious right. Most women I know are going "Yuck, what a creep." It's not like he has a 'uge' mandate - he barely squeaked in and his base isn't growing. Nice try, though.

Trump won barely. Everyone talks about this big win. He won three states by a a large college football game capacity. He also won because Hillary was a very unpopular candidate with independents...and people thought he would grow...he hasn’t. At all.

The groundswell of disgusted women (and male) voters undercuts your proposition

Not inclined to believe that this gets a pass---cheating on a spouse most can understand. He's also a clearly worse bargain at this point than most believed in addition to being more incompetent, reckless than imagined.

Totally agree. I don’t believe Stormy Daniels’ nor Karen McDougal’s allegations change anything. Bill Clinton’s past didn’t (nor did Lewinsky scandal). These are morally corrupt men. Americans then, & now, are more concerned about domestic & foreign policy, economy, war, etc.

Ratio proportion? 8 yrs of O’s criminalization of politics vs naughty guy drinking from fingerbowl. Trumps a breath of fresh air

It still amazes me that people only seem to consider the last three years when it comes to Trumps past. It confused me the whole election that people (not press) seemed to not take his well documented past into account when voting for him. Not forgave, just didn’t consider it

Yep, not all women (or men) care about morality or ethics. Alabama proved that. After all, 63% of white women *still* gave their vote to Roy Moore. What Trump tweets, says, or does doesn't "sit well" with many, yet they say & do nothing. How they vote on the day is the true test.

Trump has called all accusations against him lies and fake news. Many of his supporters agree. It is untrue that Trumpian America has copped to his awfulness. Evangelicals insist he is a changed man.

not sure i agree Matt he may have been known commodity when it came to infidelity but the level of detail and just how serious that relationship with McDougal has now been explained takes it to a whole new level that wasn't just the odd one night stand

As
@benshapiro says, Trump's very apparent immorality was baked in the cake of his candidacy. Voters decided to look past it.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo
