I’m normally anti-regulation, but FB is a paradigm-shifting technology, and we can’t expect them to fix this out of altruism. They’ve shown few signs that they will. And the stakes are too big to allow this to metastasize. This is a debate we need to have.

Gather, discuss, propose and design alternatives. Probably doing that, with of course coders, will even create some tools and apps (and cultures) which necessary for creating superior alternative to Facebook. Users, coders, financiers. All get together and aim together.

Lot of problems current Giants - Facebook, Google, Twitter (and even Apple) are displaying are product of 'walls' 'insulations' 'tone-deafness' 'stonewalling habit' between Tech financiers, coders, and users. If we can understand that, now is the time to start work together.
