IMHO, the “As long as you aren’t guilty, you have nothing to fear” line is naive. It’s a dangerous assumption for anyone dealing with authorities (and especially for a president who habitually lies about small things that don’t even matter).https://twitter.com/evan_mcmullin/status/960696488337858561 …

Nope, nice try matt. U are buying in to the same groupthink that most trumpers & many Gop'ers Have that MUELLER is some low-level ambitious DA that will do anything for a conviction. He is out for 1 of 2 crimes, collusion OR obstruction.

Though in Britain "it may harm your defence if you fail to mention when questioned something that you may later rely on in court". So you're damned both ways.

It is not the little lies that will hang Trump. It’s the big ones.

The President should always be relied on to tell the truth under oath and Mueller is not out to get him, but to get honest answers.

So that quote is a bad idea when applied to the general public, for someone without legal representation. But we're talking a president ... I think our standard as citizens should be, that if you can't get through an interview about serious misconduct, you can't be president.

What really bugs me is the guy who still thinks the Central Park Five are guilty is complaining about law enforcement abuses and the same people who claimed the people in Baltimore and Ferguson were just whiny un-american criminals are claiming law enforcement abuse of power.

Seems like a better opportunity for reforms in the system to protect citizens, communitues and police. Instead it's still us vs them keep the cycle of abuse going. I think the majority of Americans would agree we need Justice Reform, that should definitely be bipartisan.
