IMHO, the “As long as you aren’t guilty, you have nothing to fear” line is naive. It’s a dangerous assumption for anyone dealing with authorities (and especially for a president who habitually lies about small things that don’t even matter).https://twitter.com/evan_mcmullin/status/960696488337858561 …

.@realDonaldTrump should sit for an interview with the Special Counsel. If he’s done nothing wrong, then he’ll have no trouble keeping his story straight. It’s just one of the benefits of truth. https://www.nytimes.com/2018/02/05/us/politics/trump-lawyers-special-counsel-interview.html …

Anyone who believes this theory (“Hey, if you’re innocent, you have nothing to hide—and should voluntarily submit to an interview”) should watch this. http://bitmote.com/index.php?post/2011/12/13/Why-You-Should-Never-Talk-to-The-Police%2C-Part-1-Transcript …pic.twitter.com/BKxZZ07E74

By no means should anybody ever expect the man with his finger on the nuclear button to be competent enough to sit down for a few hours and not lie. That's too much to ask from the most powerful man in the world.

What deal? Are you referring to the uninformed assertion she was not under oath when questioned by the FBI? The FBI does not need to put anyone under oath when questioning them. It is a federal offense, a felony to lie to the FBI period whether you are under oath or not.

Your argument is preposterous. I wish I could tell a judge under oath that I don't want to answer because I usually tell "little lies." Should there be a "truth scale" for judges to deterrmine which lies are little and which are big? Get real. He's the POTUS. He controls nukes.
