Fascinating. My son had dental surgery at 4pm on a Friday. The oral surgeon pulled the wrong tooth--a permanent tooth. He left the baby tooth that needed to be removed. I'll be sure to schedule morning procedures from now on.

A book on shiftwork safety I read talked of the 'Danger Zone' between 3-6 AM & PM, pointing out that many disasters, including Bhopal, Exxon Valdez, and the Challenger explosion, occurred in these time periods. I avoided scheduling mission critical tasks during these times.
