Most Americans *will* get a tax cut. And I’m pretty optimistic about them stimulating growth. But concerns about deficits are real. https://t.co/YExFYJBaYr?amp=1

Let's see: #GOP talks about being #fiscallyresponsible then blows out the debt; many individual #TaxCuts phase out & end up as #TaxIncrease; #PassThroughs #EstateTax, lowering wealthy rate & more r #Trump & team personal gimme; can't fund #CHIP but financing biz OK? #TaxTurd

Matt you are another "economist" who is optimistic it will work but you will not say it will work. Matt why do you have doubts about the #TaxScamBill, and you state "most Americans will get a tax cut". What happens to the other Americans that Don't? Is that an economic stimulus.

Forgot to ask, all corporations get the same tax cut even thou one generates more revenue than another even some off shore. But most Americans will not get a tax cut based on annual income. I will not. One shoe fits all for Corp but not for We the People? #2018Midterms

P.S. However, I *do* agree with you that deficits matter, which is one reason I think this was a terrible bill.

For the Repubs, concerns are only real when a Democrat is president.

Isn't the Fed already considering hiking interest rates to put the brakes on? Do you have any kind of economics background?

Couldn’t they have cut taxes for middle class, reduced Corp taxes a couple of percentage points, nixed the loop holes for the Richard well -connected...and spent $$ on infrastructure, create jobs?

You're optimistic bc you don't study the economic science and rely solely on your ideological hopes. It's strange that you rank ideology above evidence. The marginal gains in growth won't come close to offsetting the revenue losses. And when the next recession hits, good luck.

once again: Dems will be forced to clean up a GOP mess just like 1993 and 2009. And GOP will blame Dems for it

You said "This class warfare game is tired, predictable, and unpersuasive—partly because most Americans will receive a tax cut." But when most get a cut well under $1,000, and the already-rich get 5 & 6 figure cuts, it still seems pretty f*ing persuasive to me!!

Read “avg” tax cut will be about $1600 or $31 weekly. Every little bit helps... Sure hope corporations choose to invest in their companies over share buybacks & increased dividends as in past. BTW what’s the projected interest cost on the $1.5 Trillion debt?
