My taxes just increased and companies' tax decreased. Will never vote for GOP. It's over.

Also why double tax my state income tax + property tax as well. No republican is good at mathematics. They just flunked those tests.

The question back would be why should people in states with responsible levels of taxation subsidize irresponsible levels of taxation in NY, CA, NJ, etc.? This also affects me but I recognize that the country overall will greatly benefit. I hence put my selfish interests aside.
-
I live in GA. Not elsewhere. Illinois has heavy property taxes and city taxes as well. The GOP just shot the citizens' head. After all they are NRA hooligans. What else can we expect?
-
With all due respect, you don't sound like someone who was open to voting GOP even before today.

I am 46 years old and had been Republican since I first voted in 1988. I grew up as a kid with Reagan. I didn’t leave the
@GOP, they left me. I was drawn to the idea of integrity and respect for other humans. Now y’all hired Trump, ban refugees and chase hard working immigrants.

Because it’s accurate? Yeah. Life is hard with facts.

Why? The headline isn't wrong.

What in that statement is untrue? It can be argued that it is incomplete, but it is not untrue.
-
How does that “objective news” headline frame the topic any differently than a Democrat would?
-
Why does that question matter? All that should matter is, 'what is true and accurate', not 'is this or is this not slanting to the talking points of one party'. Don't like that facts aren't aligned with your party's agenda? Tough, change your party's agenda to align w/facts.
-
Because it’s obvious the issue is being framed. Framed exactly as a Democrat would. You tried to excuse it with “incomplete”, but you can’t possibly believe that.
-
What I'm saying is that 'framed as a Democrat would', 'framed as the truth needs to be presented', and 'framed as is most factually accurate' are IN THIS CASE all one and the same. Not everything needs to be nopartisan for the sake of being nonpartisan. Just call it like it is.
-
And what I’m saying is it isn’t the truth. You admitted it isn’t the truth, but you tried to excuse it as merely “incomplete”. It’s a framing of the facts, excluding some, including others, to leave the same level impression a Democrat would seek to leave for political gain.
