Ask I said, “on paper”...
-
Because passing bills with under 30% support works out soooo well right?
-
Not if it's a Democrat bill.
-
I mean the ACA was like low 40s when it was passed and look at the backlash that followed.. can’t wait to see what happens with a bill in the mid 20s
-
The ACA had NO support...no one knew WTF was in it, remember? The Obama droids voted for it because they were told to. And it killed us.
-
I remember polling finding about 41% of public supporting it. Which supplied pently of fire to forge the Freedom Caucus in. I’m just saying, even mildly unpopular bills have severe consequences... a severely unpopular bill should have even more severe consequences

And Dems can say: GOP rammed through tax cuts for the wealthy, began dismantling the healthcare system, nominated unqualified, universally white/male judges, and made the U.S. the only country in the world to pull out of the Paris Accord.
-
I wonder though. If enough Americans benefit from the temporary tax reduction, they may not care about the rest
-
2016 election notwithstanding, Americans are not dumb. $300 in their pockets for a couple of years vs. billions back to corporations and the wealthiest.
-
Sadly Deborah, I think you may be giving the American public too much credit.
-
I remember the Bush tax cut and the polling.
-
To me it’s a bit difficult to compare the Bush tax cuts to the BS today. Bush’s tax cuts passed in July 2001, before 9/11. They were then extended in 2003. We should compare today moreso with Reagan’s tax cuts which he then had to raise taxes to make up for the downfall.
-
Exactly. Yet, there are some that still worship at the altar of Reagan, refusing to acknowledge what actually happened.

And Senate has confirmed 12 federal appeals court nominees, a record for Circuit court judges in a president's first year.

Except the tax bill is wildly unpopular. Not sure "tax reform" will be a win if people hate the reform
-
If the liberals hate it, the conservative base will accept it.
-
It’s insane that trolling liberals has become part of the GOP platform
-
"Part?"
-
Just tax cuts and trolling
-
Just tax cuts for the wealthy
-
And trolling. Don't forget the trolling
