Yesterday (before Trump's lawyer took the blame), I argued that Trump probably didn't know Flynn lied to the FBI when he fired him. In other words, he tweeted a lie.pic.twitter.com/WlSPbeFiZo

Do you believe Trump’s lawyer was actually responsible? The more I think about it the more dubious I am about that explanation.

If I had to guess... Trump tweeted it, himself. He made up the part about firing Flynn for lying to the FBI--w/out realizing the implications of that "admission." (Again, just my guess.)

There is no way a lawyer just decided to tweet from Trump’s account or would be directed to do so. Lawyers have ethical obligations and Dowd could be disbarred. If Trump was going to blame someone why didnt he just blame Meredith McIver? Worked before...

He lied about knowing, he lied about tweeting it and lied about his lawyer tweeting it and there's a new lie today.

What is your evidence of this? It is just as likely Trump and Flynn discussed what Flynn would say to the FBI during his interview. Trump suggested Flynn ask for immunity implying he knew Flynn was in trouble with the FBI.

Trump would know if After meeting with the FBI, Flynn went to Trump and told him that he had lied to them. Trump would have wanted to know they were snooping around.

Good point. An experienced criminal defense attorney like Dowd would know that it’s proper to say that Flynn “pleaded guilty,” not “pled guilty.” https://twitter.com/nycsouthpaw/status/937107791717814272 …

This is so ridiculous from a clown potus has anyone thought he knew Flynn lied because trump and Flynn have discussed to get their story straight? That’s more likely

And now? As the old saying goes, you can delegate authority but not responsibility. The excuse that someone other than Trump tweeted the admission against interest strikes me as incredibly weak & implausible. Anyway, Mueller is sure to look into it.pic.twitter.com/qfOD9CNYcg
