Agreed. I was thinking they should have tried to just have House pass the Senate bill. The House probably won't get much substantive change in Conf anyway. Apparently house members were "promised" conference which begs the question - what are they looking for there?

Agree. Speed needed. Remember Jim Jeffords! But some quick fixes, back to Senate and if rejected, run Friday night’s Senate bill through House. But the business interest deduction elimination is truly a major error.

Truthfully what bothers me most as a conservative is that this was not done under regular order, with bipartisan support

House passes as is. Not going to take a chance.

It doesn’t deserve passage. Isn’t there a way to give only middle-class tax cuts, bypass tax cuts for rich which make this wholly unpopular politically?

Would it be possible for us to read the bill prior to it becoming law? I'm not trying to be funny here but what is the rush? The Senate is supposed to be a deliberative body. Not a chicken scratch on a bill that we can't let anyone read prior to voting body.

Stop. They aren’t letting this slip through their fingers. The anger is white hot at the process and the result.
