It's not some dark hypocritical secret for fuck's sake. And it's not that one "bristles at restraint" either. It's trying to do the best for one's kids while not constantly clutching the pearls of judgment at everybody (including the kids should they turn out different).

“Stigmatizing single parents” - and their kids, too. Don’t forget that, Matt. Can’t have the little bastards running around feeling good about themselves.

This just reinforces my view that leftism is an expensive vice, like drugs, that well-to-do people think they can afford to dabble with, and then retreat to non-leftist safety.... But they do so at the expense of others, and society at large.
-
how dare liberals have public tolerance of others and individual private discipline !!! lmfao

So tolerance is not a desirable value?
-
It is. However, when I see people being beaten, shouted down and demonized... I know that progressives are not tolerant.

Guess you missed Charlottesville or Trump's entire campaign.

And you clearly never heard of antifa

Only thing better than the quote is your cutting it out of a real newspaper with real scissors. True clips!

As
@adamcarolla has said a million times: leftists excuse behaviors from a public policy view that they would never tolerate from their own kids.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

I think this is all about tolerance and accepting people as they are and the world as it is. Just because I want my kids married before they have kids doesn’t make me a hypocrite if I accept others who don’t.
-
Right. It's about how you treat people. It goes deeper though. Progressivism embraces helping people and not victim blaming unless they "get straight". We accept structural pressures that pull families down. We see it as more than culture but economics and oppression.
-
Or... perhaps, you are giving the masses enough rope to hang themselves with? Because that's what this version of progressivism inevitably leads to.

Not blue families in general - blue families in the upper economic tiers.
-
There are class issues involved here. The "we don't judge you in public" is really just cowardice in the face of the demand for honest talk about matters of crucial importance. "At the dinner table when you're gone, or when you're applying for a job . . . we'll judge you then. "

I may not have been paying too much attention to morons lately, but is there anyone who encourages not raising children in a two-parent home if and whenever possible?

It's OK that 72% of black children are born to a single mother. But honey, don't you dare to that to our family.

@WilcoxNMP talk about this a lot: Liberals need to "preach what they practice."Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo
