Though Louisiana's Democratic governor is pro-lifehttps://www.vox.com/2016/6/1/11828370/second-trimester-abortion-ban-louisiana-grossing-out …

Yep. Exactly. He won.
-
Oh I think very hard for a pro-choice Dem to win in the South. But notable that a few pro-life Dems still exist.
-
I will concede that point.
-
So, what about pro-choice republicans? How many of those are there?
-
Looks like 5 in Congress https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Republicans_for_Choice … And I'm aware of Govs. Baker, Scott and Sandoval
-
that's VT's Phil Scott, not FL's Rick Scott
-
But if you want to be a national player (like Tim Kaine) you don't really have a "choice."

So.... in Alabama pedophilia is more acceptable than abortion?
-
I’m saying that for some conservative voters, both things are deal-breakers.
-
Could be, but it is looking like a segment of your party would vote for a pedophile over someone who is pro-choice.

Women who have abortions beyond 20 weeks do so because their lives are in danger or their baby can’t survive. So no one should support a 20-week ban because all it does is kill women.
-
Also? It’s a heart breaking choice, having to choose between your life and the life of a baby you want. It’s awful. It’s the worst thing I’ve gone through. Why you’d politicize it is beyond me. Do some research,
@mattklewis. -
Because all of these "woke progressives" don't really care about abortion rights and don't understand that restrictions on late-term abortion are immoral and kill women.
-
Do we think it’s the progressives pushing for limits?
-
No, I'm just really sick of seeing "progressive" men with the hot take that abortion rights don't matter. If Dems stop caring about abortion, the right to choose will be gone.
-
lol googled this guy and he's not progressive. He's just a Republican complaining about Democrats being pro-choice.

Have you actually talked to a woman who's had a post-20 week abortion? My friend Dafna, a CO State Rep, did:http://www.denverpost.com/2017/10/06/banning-late-term-abortions-is-cruel-i-know-because-ive-had-one/ …
-
I had to have one at 22 weeks with twins and 20 weeks with my son. It was devastating. Wanted babies. My life in jeopardy. I don’t wish that choice on anyone.

Democrats shouldn’t need to make decisions about any abortions? That decision is for doctors and their patients.
