I volunteered for President Obama's campaign in 2012, and am pleased he won. But if I lived in Utah, I'd go door-to-door for Mitt. Yeah, it's 'not how high the mountain, but how low the valley,' but damn, that valley is quite the abyss.

Never understood those who didn't like Romney because he seemed too perfect. We definitely have the opposite now. Is a bit infuriating.

Awesome article, Mr. Lewis! So grateful that U now see what so many of us Mitt fans have always seen: A decent, moral, kind man rich in integrity and intelligence. U have the bar raised pretty high with this man if we were ever so fortunate to have him run 4 public office again.

I disagree with your previous view of @MittRomney but thank goodness you’ve seen what some of us saw years ago. Good decent men on our side are hard to find, especially the non-judgmental type. Look what our party has wrought now. Holy crap!

Of course, Mitt should run for the Senate...But, if you want Reagan II, that man is Gary Sinise - He should follow path of RR to the WH...Good man, inspiring, broad appeal (incl. Mod Ds, since H'wood)...Sinise/Sasse or Sinise/Rubio...

I truly like Romney's decency. I never fully trusted him on abortion. And I disliked his aggressive foreign policy. But he is a good man.

No chance to win in Massachusetts, Romney is thinking about the Senate seat in Utah and not the State of Michigan where he was born.

Trump was a rejection of W/Romney/Jeb. Working families don't like endless war, tax cuts at the top with entitlement austerity for the middle.

So yeah we could use Romney's decency, but has he reexamined or adapted any policies in light of Brexit/Trump era?
