Few things bother me as much as this does. Everything Washington lived for was so people could make free choices and this is how we repay

Respectfully,
@HistoricCC still promotes a memorial pew where GW sat & he's all over history page. I doubt that GW is "unwelcome" there. 1/2pic.twitter.com/EUc0QW3l86

George Washington would have been appalled by Lesbian priestesses. Trust me on this.

I attended that church for 11 years, largely because it was Washington's church. Bishop Tutu preached there, never said he felt unwelcome!

Historical, cultural revisionism in America is no different than the historical, cultural decimation that's occured in Iraq & Syria by ISIS.

Sounds like a planned strategy to dishonor our founding fathers so they can tumble the constitution.

I couldn't wish these morons the worst. Anti American fools. George Washington is rolling in his grave. Vote the left out of every seat!

I am embarrassed for historic Alexandria. Washington was a founder of Christ Church. Will they next remove his pew?
-
Apparently they are removing the plaque from the pew as well as the wall memorial. Might as well have a public burning of his Bible!

I think
@ChristChurchVA needs to remove the name "Christ" as nothing they have done is remotely Christian. -

We’ve only been around 30 years, so we don’t have any plaques dedicated to any founding fathers

Your fault!

Abolitionist Rev Richard Allen delivered “Eulogy of George Washington,” in African Methodist Episcopal Church 29Dec1799. Worth remembering.pic.twitter.com/fjJw7W1W2H

They say they realize Washington lived in different times, which means leaving his servants an inheritance was among his extraordinary deeds
