I don't think they are trying to be heroes they are trying to speak for those that we don't listen to.

But you have heard it. If you didn't there would be no reaction.

Protest ALWAYS falls on pissed off ears. If you're not protesting in the 'wrong place' you're preaching to the choir. Look at the 60's.
-
The 60's gave us the civil rights movement.
-
That's exactly what I'm talking about.

your network says anyone who stands for the National Anthem is a white supremacist, so there's that.

One can see both sides. Which itself is, of course, considered intellectually bankrupt these days.

We've reached the point where well-educated men can act totally ignorant of the contexts of issues and similar men will applaud them for it.

We've reached a point where protesting makes you unpatriotic, but defending the Confederacy makes you a patriot. Wow!
Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

Literally nothing you do when the anthem plays makes you a hero. Telling people what they can and can't do/say does makes you a jerk.
-
It's called respect for the heroes who fought and died for the country that the flag and the anthem represent. Find another way to protest.
-
It looks like you didn't read my post and responded based on what you think people are saying. But I agree, supporting troops is important.
-
Again, me telling people how to observe their first amendment right, would make me a jerk.
-
There is no 1st amendment right to kneeling during the national anthem while at work. That's an employer's decision to permit or ban.
-
Agreed! Employer gets to decide. Not me, not my crazy uncle, not even Trump.
-
But everyone having an opinion makes them a jerk? That doesn't make sense. No one is saying they should drag them off to prison.
-
I don't recall saying that. I do recall saying if I tell someone else what the can and can't do (even if I don't mention prison) I'm a jerk.
