1. There's nothing sacrosanct about the judicial filibuster.

5. on top of all of that, Gorsuch is replacing Scalia. This won't change the balance of the court.
-
Not the point. This wasn't Trump's pick to make. Plain and simple.

Amazing how Gorsuch is extreme, but Kagen, Ruth B-G are mainstream.

Out of all the things the Dem's are pissed off about the election losing the SCOTUS seats is what upsets them the most.

Gorsuch is incredibly right wing. That's an entirely reasonable objection. You could get a moderate confirmed. A Kennedy type.

Scalia was apparently "incrediblely right wing" as well.

Not to mention he's even less conservative than Justice Scalia's. God forbid the Dems can make more appointments.

Forcing this? Where in the constitution does it say u can't have a hearing on a Scotus during a pres. election?
-
where in the constitution does it say you have to have one?
-
Where it says PRESIDENTS choose their Scotus. You re question makes no sense
-
the president can't put somebody on the court automatically, and the constitution gives no instructions for what the senate can/can't do

How about that Garland guy...he seemed qualified, humble and dedicated. Many from both sides loved him?
-
Maybe if President Trump puts him up for the next opening we will see.
