@mattklewis yer asking candidates to violate their conscience. This goes beyond "answering hard questions." This is pro-Obama McCarthyism.

@NolteNC are you suggesting that Walker doesn't believe Obama loves America or is a Christian--but he doesn't have the courage to say it? -
@mattklewis I'm saying that like many of us he doesn't know. Obama leaves room for doubt on both points. I don't know the answer. -
@NolteNC If you say you're a Christian (or a conservative or a communist) then I'm going to take you at your word. That's between you & God. -
@mattklewis That's yer conscience. Fine. Some disagree. Some don't know & we should be allowed to answer honestly without being blacklisted. -
@NolteNC who said blacklisted? Answers have consequences. You can say whatever you want, and people are free to make judgments based on that -
@mattklewis Walker is being blacklisted as a serious candidate by a McCarthyite media that demands you answer ?'s about O a certain way. -
@NolteNC "blacklisted" suggests they won't cover him or have him on their shows? - 1 more reply

@mattklewis I think reporters, editors and outlets should be held accountable for dishonesty and by "held accountable" I mean punished. OK? -
.
@instapundit We agree. However, my motto for candidates is this: "Don't get mad. Don't get even. Get ahead." -

@mattklewis what you're wrong about is that this goes beyond answering the question. McCarthyite media now demanding what the answer is. -
@mattklewis we agree candidates should answer tuff questions. I'm not prepared to call them stupid for not violating their conscience. -
@NolteNC why would saying Obama's a Christian violate their conscience? (Unless they think that's a lie.) -
@mattklewis yer assuming it's a yes or no. It's not. I Don't Know is an honest answer. I can say that cuz *I* don't know. -
@NolteNC but Obama has stated on numerous occasions he's a Christian. Why not take him (or anybody) at their word? Who am I to judge that? -
@mattklewis some take ppl at their word. Fine. Others look at actions. Crusades, using faith to lie about SSM, abortion extremism, etc. -
@NolteNC that is evidence he's a Leftist and a bad president. But I don't question a man's stated faith. Between him and the Lord. -
@mattklewis You take him at his word. Great. Don't condemn others who doubt as tho you hold all the science. Room for doubt here. - 7 more replies
