@mattklewis @SpeedReads isn’t argument from Ds that Reid killed it because even Snow support was iffy and not enough other Rs support?

@ClarkGoble@SpeedReads Not sure what their argument is/was. But this is the timeline. -
@mattklewis@SpeedReads Do you have any links on # of R votes for that Snow supported version? -
@ClarkGoble Just her--but it was just in committee. Not suggesting it would have gotten a ton of GOP votes. But it would've been bipartisan.

@mattklewis@SpeedReads Not saying that’s right, but that’s what liberal friends keep telling me when I bring it up. -
@ClarkGoble@SpeedReads I'm surprised anyone else even remembers this. They have largely airbrushed it from history. -
@mattklewis@SpeedReads And to be fair I’m not sure 1 vote is enough to really be bipartisan IMO. Wish we had a real bipartisan law. -
@ClarkGoble@SpeedReads That 1 vote was just in committee. They might have gotten a few more on floor. Reid pulled rug out from underneath. -
@mattklewis@SpeedReads Possible although Snow was getting a lot of pressure from rest of party too. Think both sides played it badly.
