That called back Redskins TD comes courtesy of what I like to call Calvin Johnson rule, which is a dumb one, but if we gotta play by it...
@mkhammer what happened to the ball just needing to 'break the plane' of the end zone to be. TD?

@mattklewis So, when you run it in, all you have to do is break the plane. When you catch in end zone, you must finish process of the catch. -
@mkhammer I think we need a HamNation explainer on this (and when/why the ground CAN cause a fumble.)

@mattklewis They get VERY finicky about what "finishing the catch" or "having control" means. See Calvin Johnson: http://ow.ly/23wUGo -
@mkhammer Wow. If that's not a catch, I don't know what is. -
@mattklewis Right?! He's been screwed at least twice like that, which is why I call it the Calvin Johnson rule. -
@mkhammer unbelievable. Caught the ball. Didn't bobble. Took TWO steps in the end zone. Fell. Maintained complete control of the ball... -
@mattklewis Yes, it's an infamously terrible call. They need to let up on that a little. - 1 more reply

@mattklewis I think it's dumb how loose the rules are for running and how stringent they can be for a catch.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo
