@mattklewis That's one way of downplaying their significance
@DavidLimbaugh that's the only thing that makes sense. Seems like a very risky strategy. (But so far it has worked.)

-
@mattklewis 1) Not sure it's a strategy: may be the narcissist's inability to admit any responsibility & 2) it only works w/ MSM complicity -
@DavidLimbaugh 1. It defies everything we know about politics & the danger of an "out of touch" image, 2. You are exactly right about MSM -
@mattklewis True, but has he EVER acknowledged anything bad under his watch WITHOUT scapegoating something or someone else? -
@DavidLimbaugh True, but scapegoating AND sympathizing is much better politics than aloofness or seeming unconcerned. -
@mattklewis Yes, except you say it doesn't seem to be hurting him. It may not be, but I think things ARE hurting him & we will see it later -
@DavidLimbaugh There could be a tipping point. It may catch up to him. You have to hit a rock 100 times before it splits--which blow did it?

@mattklewis I also think he lacks empathy, so just like Ft Hood shooting & shout out to Dr. Joe Med Crow & economy not that big a deal 2 him -
@DavidLimbaugh You may be right, but a smart campaign would compensate for that huge deficiency. Still can't believe this isn't burning him. -
@mattklewis Playing devil's advocate here, why do you say he's making a political mistake yet say it's not hurting him? Insane, I know -
@DavidLimbaugh Everything we know about politics and history says it is a mistake to appear unconcerned. The rules don't apply to him;Teflon -
@mattklewis Don't APPEAR to apply to him. But we shall see in the end. :-) -
@DavidLimbaugh Obama seems to be tempting fate. Bill Clinton would show empathy. Obama -- not so much. -
@mattklewis Of course, his worldview tells him that he's approaching the elevated aspect of the terrorist issue, i.e, Muslim relations.
