I would support moving it to 55 votes—if Dems agreed to keep that in place. That would be an improvement over a simple majority—& is more likely to be achieved. (There’s nothing magic about the number 60.) https://twitter.com/neilcpa/status/1050044767046750208 …

The trump presidency should have taught you that trust is impossible. The republicans will fall in line with fascism in a heartbeat, even the “moderates”

You think the people that wouldn't honor this are dems? Are you out of your mind?
-
I respectfully refer you to former Senate Majority Leader Reid and the judicial filibuster. Both parties engage in chicanery.
-
Which party was filibustering all Obama nominees no matter how qualified? Republicans. Which party has made compromise a dirty word? Republicans. Which party has tried to bend over backwards to compromise? Democrats. Don't both sides this shit.
-
Democrats have voted for Trump nominees. McConnell held up all Obama nominees. Acting like this isn't asymmetrical is an insult to people that have brains.
-
Do you believe filibusters should be permitted for judicial nominees?
-
When it was used for unqualified and problematic judges. McConnell changed it to be any judge from the wrong type of president. So no, there shouldn't be filibusters anymore
-
Then judicial nominees should be handled in the House of Representatives since you have just made the Senate a pure simple majoritarian body.
