As someone who spent the better part of a decade chronicling & lamenting the rise of what came to be called “Trumpism” on the Right, it’s worth pointing out that two of the many contributing factors to this were (a) liberal media bias, and (b) the radicalization of the Left.

mob /mäb/noun 1. a large crowd of people, especially one that is disorderly and intent on causing trouble or violence. There was nothing disorderly about the protests, and there was no intent to cause violence. This was what women had to do in order to be heard.

I think
@mattklewis does hit on something critical about modern conservatism, though -- it's a political movement completely devoid of responsibility and accountability. The people who adhere to this amoral philosophy are incapable of owning their own policies and decisions. -
You gonna take responsibility & accountably for your mates on the Left who pull this kinda crap with impunity?pic.twitter.com/aZJPvWfLb2

splc? Really? They're paying out millions for defaming people, including a Brittish Muslim man.https://www.law.com/americanlawyer/2018/06/20/southern-poverty-law-center-pays-3-4m-to-resolve-defamation-case/ …

Disgraceful that you are trying to frame American citizens exercising their right to protest as a "mob". Republicans, led by a criminal, have spent 2 years spitting on democratic norms, cheering on cruelty and engaging in corruption. You thought there would be no consequences?
-
So when protestors just several days ago illegally shut down traffic, hurled racial insults, and threatened innocent civilians in Portland, was that simply exercising their right to protest?

And your party uses these fear tactics to never have to deal with real issues! 1 out of every 5 women is sexually assaulted. Out of 1000 only 300 ever report. 2-10% of accusations end up being false. It’s a problem and we are angry that your party chose to make men the victims!

Tyrant Trump's
#LockHerUp mob, which killed Heather Heyer at Charlottesville, now targeting Feinstein, after targeting Rep. Waters, Dr. Ford, Hillary. The violently angry, corrupt, vote suppressing, Republican status quo is scary.#VoteBlue#Hillary2020

mob: a large crowd of people, especially one that is disorderly and intent on causing trouble or violence You know you're playing up the violence angle. Why not just stick with "protesters". It's a precise word that is 100% correct.
-
Protestors don’t force you out of a restaurant while you are eating or bang on the doors of the Supreme Court. You should never be frightened or worried for your safety by a protestor. That is not the case here.
-
I don't support chasing anyone out of a restaurant. No one should be made to feel unsafe.

You’re making excuses and trying to rationalize. You are wrong and you know it. Be man enough to say that you are wrong and the word mob does indeed have a negative if not violent connotation.

There's an implied threat of violence using rhetoric like the word mob. As in "Grab your torch and pitchfork!" or "She's a witch. Burn her!" I don't count begging senators to listen to stories of assault and rape, forcing them to look in the eyes of victims before they make...
-
I don't agree with any tactic that makes people feel unsafe. I do agree with tactics that make people uncomfortable, like the woman asking to be looked in the eyes, because it forces leadership to see us as humans....which they seem to have a tough time doing on their own.
