Can I take my 7 year old future astronaut?

Hmm. I think there is one F bomb. No nudity or sex. Still, I don’t know if a 7 year old would love this movie. A lot of the backstory is the death of Neil Armstrong’s daughter.

Egads. How very sad. Alright - we’ll make it a parents movie now and a family movie in a few years. The kiddo can watch The Right Stuff again and again till then. Thanks!!

Try “Apollo 13.” Definitely kid friendly.

Cool little story. According to Neil Armstrong, there was never a plan to plant a flag on the moon. Out of fear of it looking like the USA was claiming the moon. The flag was a secret among astronauts and support crew, not even NASA knew about. It was brought as a personal item.

But why not include it?
-
I'm seeing it tonite... to me, you don't need to include an iconic shot if you think it's too obvious. It's a creative call. That said, if the film downplays the moment's American roots... that's a fact-based problem

Yeah. Well, two movies for this weekend. Glad to be out of the doldrums of September. Always the month I see the fewest films in theaters.

Every flag controversy is BS.

Just wait until the false flag ones start

well, showing the arrival scene of christopher columbus in the new world, played by a german actor, with no crosses and no castillian flag, would look weird.. maybe i'd give the benefit of the doubt to the director. but i'd still find it hard to believe he had no political agenda
-
I would be interested in your thoughts on a political agenda after you have seen the movie (it's a very personal and cerebral film; much of it takes place inside the head of Neil Armstrong).

It’s because they didn’t include the moment where he plants the flag in the film.

This is another lib conspiracy to discrace our flag and country. Of course the main character in the movie is named Neil.
-
He just said the movie was NOT unpatriotic. Have YOU seen it?
