. ⁦@Zigmanfreud⁩ has some thought-provoking takeaways from the Kavanaugh confirmation ordeal. I think he makes some valid points. https://www.mediaite.com/columnists/with-the-kavanaugh-fiasco-finally-ending-here-are-some-lessons-and-conclusions/amp/#click=https://t.co/2xVf8Omznb …https://www.mediaite.com/columnists/with-the-kavanaugh-fiasco-finally-ending-here-are-some-lessons-and-conclusions/ …

I agree that both Grassley and Feinstein have to go . Most significantly a democratic house and a republican senate would be best until the parties become rational again .

2/3 2. Grassley and Feinstein too old? Perhaps. How about McConnell too powerful? He should never have had the power to hold up Merrick Garland's nomination. Vote against him? sure. Not follow process? absolutely not.

Some points, yes, but I wish I'd hear more from both sides about Kavanaugh's lack of candor, not to mention his obvious partisanship and questionable temperament.

Kavanaugh lied under oath. Was he involved with Ed Whelan's smear campaign? Who paid off his debts? Why didn't Roberts investigate complaints made against Kavanaugh? He's dreadful. Just dreadful.

Except for the last 3 sentences. He declares Democrats not trustworthy, but go ahead and give them control of the house. Make any sense to anyone?

Takeaways: Shy Trump supporters can be fired up by stoking anger & resentment towards their fellow Americans. After Dr. Ford testified, there was consensus that she's credible. But after the job candidate's prepared & rehearsed show of anger towards libs, they were re-trumpified.

3/3 We'll never know what Republicans would have done with that letter. Please don't assume they would have handled Dr. Ford's allegations differently that the Democrats who "*always* overplay their hand."

There are many valid points to be made. But as far as this piece... 1/3. I take exception to "the lessons that *should* be learned and conclusions that can be drawn." Opinion piece or not, please don't tell me you know best what I should learn.
