This is admittedly anecdotal, but I’ve heard from several of my center-right friends today who are turned off by the Left’s attacks on Kavanaugh & Cruz. As a result, they have started solidly supporting them both.

Heheh... This is priceless. Sooooo let's get the straight. There are people out there who think that Ted Cruz is an alright guy and we better not be mean to him cuz then they'll be forced to start approving of him even harder??
-
Are these "center right" people aware that Trump exists and Republican party loves him? Are their delicate sensibilities ever affected by that shitstorm of meanness?

So they haven't been PUSHED into anything, but are looking to justify their choices and wrap their contempt for women and minorities in "principle."
-
It allows them to not acknowledge and SEE their own blatant racism, self hatred, and selfishness. Frankly it pisses me off when the left inadvertently gives then talking points like this.

So why bring up Cruz then? Are they planning to drive to Texas and vote for him? Or just send him money?

So your original statement is completely meaningless. Gotcha.

These don’t sound like rational people. They sound like emotional people that don’t have solid sound rational values

So your story is that Republicans have continued to support Republicans. AMAZING!!

If none of them live in Texas, who cares that they support Cruz? Luckily they can’t vote for him. Clearly they care more about an uncomfortable moment than the health and safety of children, justice for POC and installing a drunken, sexual abusing jurist. They are the problem.

So wait - your cautionary tale involves people who already supported Kavanaugh, and who can’t even vote in Texas? This is what’s supposed to cow Dems into being nice to a nominee who is credibly accused of attempting to rape multiple women?

Then your friends have absolutely zero in the way of principles or a moral center.

So the strong move here is to reach out to voters who would vote for someone who disgusts them? Hard pass.

Give up Matt. It was a stupid comment.

Then what is your point?

Shouldn’t republican actions carry greater weight to them than what Dems do
this isn’t a political vacuum. Kavanaugh molested a young girl and these dunderheads chain to support him because “but the democrats??” PleaseThanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

Cruz is still disgusting, Beto is still excellent, and if you don’t believe the women accusing Kavanaugh you’re not and they’re not paying attention

Are they disgusted by trump? They are deplorable- just looking for any excuse to feel better about their immorality.

And conversely there are Republicans that I would have supported, but I'm disgusted by the GOP's willingness to sign off on Trump's BS.
