I honestly can’t tell if you are being serious or sarcastic with this remark

Completely serious. I have no idea if he’s innocent or guilty, but having her visibly by his side is important for politics.
-
You and *the game*. Can't you see how it's corrupted you? Jesus would come and smash up your temple ...
-
Come on, let’s not do this. I don’t agree with
@mattklewis about quite a bit actually but he’s a good person. Saying that it’s good optics to have a spouse support you, as a political analyst, is hardly worthy of fire and brimstone. -
Thank you, Amy!

I agree with you
@a81arnold. Matt seems like a good person. I sorta get it if this account is purely about the politics business. But the whole business just seems at its base to be morally corrupt, as it's more about increasing a team's power, rather than what's right.

Well, Bill Cosby’s wife stood by him too... And so did Hillary with Bill...

How about the optics of appearing with an anchor who covered for Ailes and a network that’s had multiple sexual harassment issues?

There is no precedent for this. Nominee for S.Ct. seat makes his case on national TV? Another embarrassing and potentially unethical maneuver orchestrated by the WH. This is likely Bill Shine's doing.

If serving as a stage prop is good optics then yes, Kavanaugh having the wife at his side for the camera is good optics.

No shit. Also helps to have Roger Ailes' apologists lobbing the softballs up there.

No. This is not a good optic. This is some old 1990's stand by your man play. Yuck!

A Supreme Court nominee going on a cable news network is not good optics. Under any circumstances. He politicizes his own nomination by doing so.
