I *think* Dems will take the House, but that's far from being a foregone conclusion. And if they fail, heads will EXPLODE. Here's my dispatch from the future....https://www.thedailybeast.com/theres-still-a-30-percent-chance-the-gop-holds-the-house-and-what-if-it-does?source=twitter&via=desktop …

Do you think Kavanaugh not being confirmed or withdrawing helps or hurts their chances? My thoughts are that if Kavanaugh is not confirmed it becomes a rallying cry for GOP keeps the house... Democrats should want Kavanaugh to go through so they can keep their base motivated

Hard to say. I think that Kavanaugh’s confirmation probably motivated the GOP base, while blocking him probably motivates liberals more. But it’s hard to say whether winning or losing (the feeling of being cheated) is a greater motivator.

DCCC Chairman says this isn't what the founders intended then 2 paragraphs later Carville calls for ending the Electoral College and advocates "rinky dink" states no longer having 2 Senators. These people determining what's best for my life is terrifying. No thanks.

Ah, I did miss that. The abolish the Electoral College movement is gaining momentum within Democrat circles and I see that as a big mistake.

Great read! Never forget that predictions in 2016 were wrong not only in relation to the Presidential race. Many pointed to Democrats taking back at least the House or Senate (I don't recall which was more likely). That didn't end well.

We are seeing more individual pooling of seats vs generic ballots and it definitely doesn't look like a blue wave! my bet a very slim Dem majority but who knows

“The Freedom Caucus has just become the most powerful group in America”... Did you write this to motivate those of us who are undecided in swing districts to vote D? Because that statement alone is a highly effective motivator.

Citizens are tired of the politics of division and continual anger, the Dems, as they steer farther left are in their last days as being a national party, this next election (as the last one did) will cement that fact

Unless we truly do become a Totalitarian State, nothing is cemented. Thank God!! Yes the division is horrible, but I'm going to have faith in all the sane people in both parties to bring us back to stop hating each other!! Accountability on both sides is KEY!!

They will take the house, and in 2020 will take the senate and presidency as well. After that it's bye bye constitutional republic and hello socialist hellhole, permanently. And all thanks to the never-Trumpers and other RINOs who're going to vote dem out of spite.
