I agree completely. She throws hissy fit like McEnroe but then she claims she is being discriminated against. Why was McEnroe ranting? Because he had calls against him he didn’t like. Same. They are not discriminating. She is not Rosa Parks sitting in the back of a bus.

Yep—and, by the way, I never liked McEnroe, either...

Sport is supposed to be more emotional than politics
-
Because the stakes are so much lower?
-
That and because physical exertion and face to face confrontation with your opponent naturally bring it out

Salient point is you're intentionally making WAAY more of this than is warranted. In our current world, every piece of minutiae is the subject of commentary by EVERYBODY. Especially people whose personal brands depend on 24/7 opining. At least you're not annoying like Ingraham

I get what you are trying to do but this isn’t the example to use. You have to include her history and the history of tennis in this. And the fact is the political excuses are off because Trump isn’t being punished and she is. He hasn’t been held accountable, Clinton was.

I would encouarge you to talk to non-white wealthy white people about how they view this instance. Kudos to you for starting to have the conversation. I can see what you mean by "victimhood" but I think ur missing a lot from the situation and your own perspective with that take

Ugh. Are you sure you would have taken the high road? How do you want her to act / how was she supposed to act? It was very unfair - did she take the high road when she called him a thief? No, probably not.

White privilege is not empathizing with p.o.c. in the face of injustice and then expecting perfection (in terms of behavior) when facing injustice.

I could not disagree more. A dominating theme of Trump’s victimhood is an inability to see any situation beyond himself. Serena’s grace and civility at the trophy presentation when she realized a fellow athlete was being robbed of her moment is the opposite of Trump’s victimhood

You should have stopped after your first sentence. Nothing political here. Serena cheated. She got caught. She then engaged in unsportsmanlike behavior and should have known better.

If Hill was Potus & she showed even a smidgeon of emotion like Trump, there would be an outpouring of her being "too emotional" to handle the job & action would be taken. Yet Trump can & nothing will happen to him. That's the point. You can't understand as a man how it feels

Consider the Hatch Act. A paper rule moderated by light enforcement, for good reason. It would be wrong to vary the enforcement level.

most conservatives see themselves as perpetual victims, it’s not just trump & co. it’s just amplified under trump.
