Update: Doctor doesn’t think it’s Lyme disease. That takes a week to show up (my son says he was bitten today), looks more like a bullseye (not a ring), and the tic has to be attached for like 24 hours.

That looks like a bruise after bumping into something narrow but dull. Corner of a table maybe? The Lyme bullseye is a rash with a red Center and a red ring.
-
Yep. Exactly what doctor just told us.
-
I was right? I’m going to tell my husband (the doctor)!
-
According to my doctor, you absolutely were. However, I have been contacted by several legit/serious friends who are urging me to get a 2nd opinion.
-
Some people seem to be quite scared of Lyme disease.

Heck of a way to try to save on a co-pay.

Hey, it’s the wisdom of crowds. When a snake was on my deck, twitter gave me a bonafide expert who told me it was t poisonous.
-
Before you start touting the wisdom of crowds, remember that the American electorate decided that the two best candidates to run for president in 2016 were Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump.

You could: Use a pen, draw a ring around it now. This way you can easily see if it is spreading.Ok, I am from Missouri and perhaps that is weird, but we would do that...right before our arm fell off.
-
Yep. Doctor just did that.

Only half kidding when I say it resembles pictures of early stage bubonic plague, which used to be called "the roses." Fortunately for you, I'm a total layman in these matters.
-
Of course, it also looks like my forearms after a day in my woodshop when I slam some lumber into my arm...
