Trump backers don't like Jeff Sessions for obvious reasons. But now, some mainstream conservatives are upset w/ him over family separations & blocking criminal justice reform. As I noted on CNN today, Sessions risks becoming a man without a constituency.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8gc4uos1MD8&feature=youtu.be …

That’s true, old labels don’t really apply when in context of trump, other than still GOP and Dem. I would say “some conservatives” still oppose trump (or other elements of his admin) but I can’t think of any reason they’re more mainstream than Trump’s full supporters.

In this case, I was talking about Sessions. And IMHO, Sessions’ brand of populist/nationalist conservatism isn’t mainstream—certainly not in terms of his former GOP colleagues in the Senate.

Trump's approval rating among Republicans is 88% because they were always monsters. "Never Trump" is a fake phenomenon pushed by the media on behalf of the 1%. They need to rescue the image of conservatism from the damage actual conservatives cause.http://www.newser.com/story/262328/trumps-approval-among-republicans-is-unusually-high.html …
