Bill Clinton beat 41 and Bob Dole. Dubya and Obama both beat John McCain. And now, *Trump* is president. It’s hard to ignore a trend which says experience and sacrifice don’t mean a whole lot to American voters. Avenatti has a shot.

True; but Clinton also had experience when he beat Dole.

We were also in a time of war, and changing administrations in the middle of a conflict adds a whole new layer of voter uncertainty. That was definitely a contributing factor in my opinion. And there's always the having chad debacle. Or Broward Cry Fl voting mess, every time!

Since when is being a governor (executive experience, inc over first responders) of a state with an economy the size of Germany’s not requisite experience to be the President?

Like Reagan, Clinton/Dubya were at least Governors first & Obama had that pit stop as a Senator. I don't get the push against expertise. I hate politicians ...I hate lawyers too, but if I get in trouble i'm still calling one over a perpetually bankrupt reality show host.
