Maybe a little tangential, but that perception is odd given an outsized % of the allegedly "out-of-touch" coastal elites - at least the ones in the MSM & entertainment industry - vote against their empirical self-interest in support of the working class.

Fair, or not, i think it’s definitely the perception. And it’s much more about cultural identity than economics.

My view: Not just working class but middle & upper class as well. The narrative is not just Trump’s, it’s of MSM’s own making starting many elections ago. DT has just loudly vocalized frustrations to his advantage. MSM has portrayed themselves as elitist and progressive activist.

Maybe another part of that fear is a 24/7 news network that exploits every racial fear they have? Tucker Carlson and Sean Hannity are the problem, not Sarah Jeong.

I agree with this. It does not help to hire ppl who generalize and attack all white ppl. It’s just as bad when whites do this to other racists. This only exacerbates the problems and bolsters the point of racists.

I don’t get why we can’t manage to hire people that don’t have offensive past statements (many),I’m pretty sure writers, and directors, and politicians, exist that don’t have these issues. And having grown up as white working class they need to get over themselves. Both are issues

This wasn't just offensive. She is spewing hate toward the very men who fought to save her family from slavery under the Kim regime.

I highly doubt the working class whites were even aware of who Jeong was before all this hoopla.

There's no "feel like." The hate and derision of all white people is put on full display by the MSM on a daily basis. This isn't a question of perception. It's happening.

Sarah Jeong, the new racist tech editor would have very little to write about without white men. In fact: without white men Sarah wouldn’t be on the internet. Without white men Sarah wouldn’t be living safely and free in the US.

The irony here: how many of those disgruntled whites have ever read the NYT or WaPo etc? It’s a fight against “elite” writers they’ve never read.

When did white people become such snowflakes?
