Let's make sure they have all the proper vaccinations and ship them back to their country of origin and let them take care of them. They can re-join their parents right after they get out of prison or get deported back to their country of origin at their countries expense

These people are claiming asylum. Pursuant to both American law passed by Congress and international treaties to which the United States is a signatory, we cannot do that.
-
Then they can get in line and enter the right way! If not, they can all become statistics of crime, sex trafficking, employment violations and create lifestyles of 3rd world countries within our communities.
-
They are entering the right way. The vast majority are showing up at designated border crossings and making the asylum claim. This is permitted by the aforementioned laws and treaties.
-
I don't know what world you are living in, we have so many undocumented in the construction field that it's impossible to bid against companies who employ them. Doug, I'm sure you have true intentions, come out into the sun and witness reality.
-
I explained it to you. I also suggest you read Matt's article. If you have any humanity at all you'd realize that what this President is doing to these families is an atrocity.
-
How hard is it for these people to understand that the families being seperated, at the border, are not the ones swimming the Reo Grand at midnight.
-
They don't want to understand. You saw how his argument changed when he realized he didn't have his facts right.

Or else what? I appreciate intellectual conservative types are publicly dismayed by what Trump has done to your GOP. It is time to encourage anti-Trump Republicans to join the Democratic Party. You can sort out your discomfort w/ideological heterodoxy later. Save the US first.
-
What I'm suggesting sounds like a bitter pill. Like the ultimate defeat, and in a way it is. But sometimes life hands you serious setbacks, and Trump's takeover of the GOP is one. Your options are narrowed to: 1) Join Trump 2) Join the Dems 3) Third Party 4) Quit politics.
-
Of the the four, only Never-Trump joining the Dems has a prospect of reversing Trumpism, for the country and for the GOP. Third party is dicey, given history. Joining Trump is selling your soul. Quitting politics is amoral and guarantees Trump wins.
-
The Democratic Party has no membership barrier. You don't have to renounce what you stand for. You'll mostly lose policy fights, but if Job One is to roll over and crush Trump and Trumpism, bonds will form, opportunities for compromise will appear.
-
Joining forces is the dynamic solution. It will be an opportunity for the new allies to grow and stretch, and recognize the narrow gauge of some of our differences, and how trivial they seem given Trump's threat to America's influence in the world. It's time. Do that thing.

There is most likely a special place in hell for those in leadership that through their actions or silence allows this to happen. As for those on the front lines, the Nuremberg trials deemed "just following orders" to be invalid as an excuse.

TY for the bold piece and call to action. Conservative voices and conservative elected officials (especially) need to stop the madness. All of us ... independent of party ... need to STOP the EXECUTION of of this Border Policy.
