You don’t identify the driving force of why this is happening. The GOP et al used wedges, dog whistles, etc for decades to divert attention from pro-oligarchy policies and capture votes in spite of them.

-
The longer they did that, the less the base bought it and the diversions had to become more extreme. Then a candidate came along and captured the party because the base had been brainwashed and he more authentically spoke to their lunatic worldview.
-
This isn’t the story of two distinct camps. This is the story of using propaganda to capture votes despite policy, and that propaganda machine eventually devouring its host.

That's all you have to offer?

I know, referencing Star Wars lore is really setting the bar high.
-
At least it was actually a statement, not a photo of a kid on a potty.
-
It was a statement. Even if it hurts your feelings champ. It's laughable.
#NeverTrumpers like@mattklewis are also laughable. And those who defend them. As laughable as the#Resist crowd. Maybe even more. -
Whatever, Trumper. Your boy is a laughingstock the world over.
-
Be that as it may, he's still
@POTUS and your boy is still a Senator. The butt-hurt is strong in you. See, I can make Star Wars references too. LOL -
Butt hurt? It's my brain that hurts, from talking to a culty Trumper. Bye.
