It seems pretty clear that if you’re a friend or political ally of this pres, good things may happen to you. And if you’re an enemy... Which makes me wonder: What happens when a Democrat becomes president? Of course, Trump didn’t invent this, but he is taking it to another level

You are being wayyyy too kind in describing Trump. I don't get what a Democratic president may mean? Any NEXT president has the opportunity to set a new standard of decorum, yes?

My fear is that Trump has opened doors (broken norms) that a future president may also take advantage of. It's possible that there will be a backlash, of course, and that the next president could be great. But once doors are open, it's hard to shut them...

What norms has he broken? With regard to Dinesh, the norm that was broken was the political prosecution of an adversary. The pardon is just making that heinousness right.

When don't have to wonder. We know. You get targeted by the IRS for your political views, prosecuted for crimes no one else is prosecuted for and no one in the left wing media cares.

You’re way behind the times. We already had a prez who used techniques Trump hasn’t even thought of using yet: IRS against conservative groups DOJ not prosecuting Black Panthers who had already been shown to be guilty Sheryl Atkinson and James Rosen FBI informant(s) on Trump

The bigger q: what will happen if Trump loses and it looks as though he will be indicted? Hypothetical, but totally realistic.

Mueller hasn't issued his report yet. Call me a crazy prognosticator, but I don't think he's going to give Trump a clean bill of health.

Are you suffering from amnesia? Obama and Clinton did worse than this. I will agree that Trump is as bad when he starts selling ambassadorships or pardons like Clinton and Obama.

Obama gave ambassadorships to people who raised significant money for him. He also got a Netflix deal out it. Clinton pardoned Marc Rich for cash for his wife’s campaign and his library. Also he pardoned a lot of other democrats, his brother included.
