    BBC News, which has REALLY downplayed the significance of the Cambridge Analytica story, is now calling CA a "data firm". That's akin to calling Fred West a landscape gardener, without mentioning why he laid the patio

    If it turns out that they gave Facebook data to Russia to influence the US election so that Trump (the candidate of the far-right) won, that might be tame compared to other shit that Cambridge Analytica got up to. This is not a 'company', its a pathology

    Whether you share the politics of or not, it is absurd and disgraceful to call them 'neofascist'. The minister should apologise.

    So describing as "neofascist" in Parliament today is a disgraceful smear against tens of thousands of anti-fascist activists who believe in a more just and equal world, and also belittles the horror of actual fascism. He should apologise in full.

    Perhaps you should ask yourself why so many strong supporters of he BBC are getting disillusioned (dispirited, even) with BBC News. A sustained period of appalling editorial misjudgement will do that.
