Incorrect. It’s about the problems that captialism + social media causes. Disinformation and abuse is a symptom of human nature (confirmation bias) and profit incentives. Increased competition will only make that worse. Regulation is the answer, not break ups.

If they were broken up, it would be far easier to regulate them. Otherwise, I agree. My socialist fantasy is that social media, like telecom, should be a public/private partnership, ideally non-profit. But anything that big is a target for power mongers, who will debase it.

I can see how Facebook facilitates those problems, by virtue of existing. What I don't see is the causal relationship between Facebook and those issues? Could you possibly explain what you mean, looking to learn a bit here :)
