Also see Dostoyevsky on "man is not a piano key." This could illustrate a fundamental problem in attempting to over-quantify value in the modern financial age. Non-quantifiable value is likely undervalued. But that's not to say that we should reject economic value.

Perhaps there is a need for a barter economy when it comes to creative works. Sense of the quality of value is lost when mental focus is on quantity of value. Think of it as a trading card game for all ideas and artistic expressions. Collect them all.

You could model conversation and correspondence as exactly this. Instead of a price system, people sort by conversing with people of similar quality/interests.
