Conceptual model: analogize working toward a certain goal as moving toward a specific spot within a 3D space in reality. Very basic ideas like “move in a straight line as fast as possible” have obvious problems like “I can’t fly” which you can iterate on to decide paths and speed

Once you’ve embedded in your natural understanding of physics and your capabilities certain things become clearer that aren’t innately obvious. Eg, movement has a certain error rate, which means it’s risky to plot a course too close to a cliff even if it’s shortest/simplestZ

“Being near a cliff” is something that we can innately feel both in walking and to a lesser extent in social scenarios and politics. Why should we not ban nazi speech? Because it’s putting us closer to a cliff where if we fall off we get powerful government thought control.
