For heavens sake, why would you care about a diversity of opinion? It would be endless arguments proving someone was right. Unless you were open minded, which would set the stage for unending amazing discussion deciding what was right.

Depends on the granularity. You generally want uniformity within organizations, with less and less as you get closer to the top, and diversity between organizations.

Then the uniformity should represent the different factions of the constituents you serve or sell to. You don’t need to create the Tower of Babel not allowing new ideas and opinions to flourish.
